Opening day at Hastings Community Pool with the City of Vancouver Mayor

For many years Hastings Community Pool would be the centre of summer fun for so many children in the neighbourhood. As a child in the sixties, I thought the pool had been there forever. I realize now that when I started swimming there, the pool had only been there for about 6 years.
