A swim at Hastings Pool was worth the wait

Hastings pool could accommodate 225 people. In the peak of summer there were always kids lined up in the corral, waiting to get in. Shifts lasted 45 minutes, with an additional 15 minute break for the lifeguards in between. This went on all summer long.
